on
October 16th by Robert Zimmerman, author of
Leaving Earth: Space Stations, Rival Superpowers, and the
Quest for Interplanetary travel.
The event takes place at Barnes &
Noble, 18th and Walnut Street, in Center City, Philadelphia at 7 p.m.
Arthur C. Clarke says in his review: "So many hundreds of books have been written about the space programme that one may
reasonably ask: do we need another?   The answer in this case is definitely yes."   Members of the Phila. Area Space Alliance, the World Future Society of Phila., and the Phila. Science Fiction Society are encouraged to attend. The book (528 pages) will be available for purchase ($27.95).   A discussion on space travel in a downtown bookstore is long overdue in our region, so please tell your friends, and make plans to welcome the author to our city.  as the subject).
